1911年10月辛亥革命爆发，12月四川成立大汉四川军政府，四川军政府接管了设在成都的四川造币分厂。为满足军需和保路运动的需要，废除了前清龙模银铜币，新创四川银、铜币模型，于1912年起，由四川造币厂正式开铸四川军政府“汉”字铜元。四川铜币军政府造当制钱五十文应运而生，是该历史事时期珍贵的史料，对现今人们研究该历史时期的经济、文化、政治、等社会状况有着重要的作用。
该四川铜币“军政府造” 钱币品相完好，其包浆锈色自然，不论是文字还是图案，都显得自然细腻，深浅合适，很有立体感。正面中书“四川铜币”四字，其铜字的金旁系连书四画。中心作海棠花一小朵，上边加“军政府造”四字，下边加“当制钱五十文”六字；背面用十八小圈绕一大圈，圈内篆文“汉”字，以直线纹为底。上边加“中华民国元年”（有磨损）字样，正反两侧各有一个花瓣。

The Sichuan copper coin, made by the military government, is in good condition, with a natural rust colored coating. Whether it is the text or the pattern, it appears natural and delicate, with appropriate depth and depth, and a strong sense of three dimensionality. The four characters "Sichuan Copper Coin" are inscribed on the front, and the gold side of the copper characters is connected by four paintings. A small flower of crabapple is placed in the center, with the four characters "made by the military government" added above and the six characters "fifty wen for making money" added below; Wrap a large circle around the back with eighteen small circles, and use the seal script "Han" character inside the circle, with a straight line pattern as the base. Add the words "the first year of the Republic of China" (with wear and tear) above, and there are petals on both sides.
