赵朴初先生(1907年-2000年)，1907年11月5日生于安徽省太湖县。早年就学于苏州东吴大学。1928年后，任上海江浙佛教联合会秘书，上海佛教会秘书，“佛教净业社”社长，四明银行行长。1938年后，任上海文化界救亡协会理事，中国佛教会秘书、主任秘书，上海慈联救济战区难民委员会常委兼收容股主任，上海净业流浪儿童教养院副院长，上海少年村村长。1945年参与发起组建中国民主促进会。1946年后，任上海安通运输公司、上海华通运输公司常务董事、总经理。1949年任上海临时联合救济委员会总干事，中国人民保卫世界和平委员会常委、副主席，亚非团结委员会常委。1950年后，任中国人民救济总会上海市分会副主席兼秘书长，华东民政部、人事部副部长，上海市人民政府政法委员会副主任。1953年后，任中国佛教协会副会长兼秘书长，中国作家协会理事，中日友好协会副会长、中缅友好协会副会长，中国红十字会副会长、名誉副会长，中国人民争取和平与裁军协会副会长。1980年后，任中国佛教协会会长，中国佛学院院长，中国藏语系高级佛学院顾问，中国宗教和平委员会主席，中国书法家协会副主席。出版有《滴水集》、《片石集》、《赵林初诗词曲手选》、《佛教常识答问》等。
Mr. Zhao Puchu (1907-2000) was born in Taihu County, Anhui Province on November 5, 1907. I studied at Soochow University in Suzhou in my early years. After 1928, he served as the Secretary of the Shanghai Jiangsu Zhejiang Buddhist Federation, the Secretary of the Shanghai Buddhist Association, the President of the "Buddhist Pure Industry Society", and the President of the Siming Bank. After 1938, he served as the director of the Culture of Shanghai Cultural Circles National Salvation Association, the secretary and chief secretary of the Chinese Buddhist Association, the standing member of the Shanghai Cilian Relief War Zone Refugee Committee and director of the Shelter Unit, the vice president of the Shanghai Jingye Street Children's Home, and the village head of the Shanghai Children's Village. In 1945, he participated in the establishment of the China Association for Promoting Democracy. After 1946, he served as the executive director and general manager of Shanghai Antong Transportation Company and Shanghai Huatong Transportation Company. In 1949, he was appointed as the Director General of the Shanghai Temporary Joint Relief Commission, a member and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Defense of World Peace, and a member of the Standing Committee of the Asian African Unity Commission. After 1950, he served as the Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Shanghai Branch of the Chinese People's Relief Association, the Deputy Minister of Civil Affairs and Personnel in East China, and the Deputy Director of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. After 1953, he served as Vice President and Secretary General of the Buddhist Association of China, Director of the Chinese Writers Association, Vice President of the China Japan Friendship Association, Vice President of the China Myanmar Friendship Association, Vice President and Honorary Vice President of the Red Cross Society of China, and Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament. After 1980, he served as the president of the Buddhist Association of China, the president of the China Buddhist Academy, the consultant of the Advanced Buddhist Academy of the Chinese Tibetan Language Department, the chairman of the Religion in China Peace Committee, and the vice chairman of the Chinese Calligrapher's Association. Published works include "Collection of Drips", "Collection of Fragments", "Selected Poems and Songs by Zhao Linchu", and "Answers to Buddhist Common Knowledge".

我公司近期征集了一幅“赵朴初款字画”， 长：95cm，宽：45。此书法用笔沉雄稳健，但又不失潇洒率意，时缓时急，随性自在。赵朴初的书法以行楷、行草见长。其书法作品整体章法取疏淡格局，行、间距明显，字字形断而意连，整齐疏密，自然一气，不骛造作，形似苏体，但又比苏字灵秀。赵朴初的书法作品墨量饱和，墨韵丰腴，偶有飞白而无枯笔，古拙而灵动，苍劲而洒脱，胜在趣韵，给人-种平和大度、雍容不迫之感。其用笔劲爽，点画干净利落，线条刚劲绰约，下笔处不作虚尖，收笔戛然而止，没有飘荡不定的任意延长，提处不飘，按处不滞，正如刘熙载所言:"书能笔笔还其本分，不消闪避取巧，便是极诣。“
