Chinese green glazed porcelain history: green glazed porcelain in the Han Dynasty has a large number of emergence, basically unearthed in tombs, mostly for the miniature version of living utensils and appearance imitation of animal shape utensils. Such as green glazed pottery stove, green glazed pottery well, green glazed pottery building, green glazed pottery dog, green glazed pottery chicken and so on, mainly as the burial of the Ming ware. In The Three Kingdoms, Jin and Southern Dynasties, the firing of green glaze declined sharply. In the Northern Dynasty, there was a restoration of pottery with green glaze on the yellow glaze and white glaze, which was the prototype of the "Tri-colored Tang Dynasty". Cizhou kiln and Ding kiln in Song Dynasty were both fired, and the green glaze burned by Ding kiln was called "green Ding". Both Jin Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty had green underglaze color and brown color production. In the Yuan Dynasty, the high-quality porcelain body was fired into the new blue and white under the malachite green glaze. The green glaze in the Ming Dynasty was mainly malachite green glaze. In the early period, there was "melon skin green", and there was light green glaze in the Yongle period. There are many kinds of green glazes in Qing Dynasty, such as Lang kiln green, parrot green, pine yellow green, turtle green, lake green, caviar green and okra green. So green glaze making as a unique technology in our country, the history is also very long.

Green glazed pottery pot belongs to low temperature lead glazed pottery. It is a kind of glazed pottery which appeared and spread widely in Han Dynasty. It is an outstanding representative of pottery making technology in Han Dynasty. The hair color of green glazed porcelain produced in different periods and different kilns is slightly different. The usual green glazes are malachite green, parrot green, gem green, melon skin green and so on. The green glaze on the green glaze porcelain of the Han Dynasty is mostly a deep blue green, and can not reach the degree of bright green. Ming Dynasty successfully fired malachite green glaze, glaze color has two kinds of light; The deep color is green, there are fine pieces in the glaze, and lined with sauce white glaze bottom, the glaze color is bright and gorgeous; Light is mainly used in color glaze, such as eggplant skin purple and other glaze, often coupled with malachite green. Green glazes in Qing Dynasty developed further after the creation of malachite green in Ming Dynasty. Lang Yao green and apple green in high temperature green glaze, malachite green, melon peel green and okra green in low temperature green glaze are the best green glazes in Ming and Qing Dynasty.
The Han Dynasty was never the age of porcelain. Expensive metalwork and ornate lacquerware were the darlings of the upper class. The ancient brilliant Baiyue Kiln was still experiencing the pains of forced integration into the Central Plains civilization in the Qin Dynasty, and it was not until the late Eastern Han Dynasty that it recovered its spirit and changed from primitive porcelain to real porcelain. But there is still a place for simple, inexpensive pottery. Han green glaze appeared in the period of Emperor Wudi. Han green glaze was based on lead and copper was the color agent. The fluidity and high refractive index of lead glaze at high temperature make it show a smooth surface, clear and transparent glass texture of enamel, coupled with full patina, so that people saw the pure color beauty on pottery for the first time. Before this, the stubborn earthy yellow was the lingering nightmare of the original porcelain, and the Han green glaze emerged with bright colors and appropriate prices, becoming the first choice for funeralware. Han Dynasty, people believe that after death can ascend to heaven, so pavilions, table stove, barn livestock, servants Ge Ji everything, hoping to bring the prosperity of this life into the next life, but in the wrong circumstances fixed the prosperous years 2000 years ago.

Green is the most common color of nature, symbolizing life and peace. In addition, green is the easiest color to see, when it passes through the lens, it almost falls on the retina, so it makes our eyes comfortable. However, when green rises to the level of aesthetic symbol, it is not very popular. "Shuowen" recorded "green, silk green yellow also", its note reads "East idle color is green, green green yellow also". One sentence explains the "leisure color" status of green. As early as in ancient times, Confucius, in order to maintain the "rites", identified red, yellow, blue, white and black as the normal colors and denounced the mixed colors. Mencius also said: "Trees five colors, giving five colors, listing articles, the way to raise eyes." Green has never been the first choice for symbolizing noble status, and green glaze has always belonged to low-temperature glaze, glaze and fetal adhesion is not strong, easy to peel off, so green glaze has long occupied the site of burial and ornamental ceramics, and has not been widely used for daily porcelain. Of course, such characteristics make it more collectible. After the Song Dynasty, green glaze changed its face and became a young lady and entered the secular life. In the Qing Dynasty, the Qianlong emperor lived a privileged life, ceramic varieties reached the peak, all kinds of glaze colors have been presented in a dizzying state, although the process is high, but has been out of the essence of ceramics, into a pure ornamental object, a unique representative work of Qianlong.
This green glaze pot not only retains the bright characteristics of the green glaze of the Ming Dynasty, but also has the best performance in the low temperature green glaze of the Qing Dynasty, which has high research value and exhibition value. The shape is dignified and beautiful, especially the green glaze flows freely along the round belly to the inclined surface, forming a beautiful, smooth and vivid dynamic beauty, which produces a special artistic effect like going to water, in fact, it is a collection of good products.
